CEO MESSAGE
Message from the CEO
Jun Sato
Chief Executive Officer, Stayway Inc.
A graduate of the Faculty of Economics, The University of Tokyo. Certified Public Accountant and certified Business Innovation Support Organization professional. Previously with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, where he engaged in IPO advisory projects in Tokyo and Seattle. Afterward, he worked for a Hong Kong–based private equity and management consulting firm.In 2017, he founded Stayway Inc. with a mission to unlock the potential of regional communities and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises  (SMEs) across Japan.
Stayway began as a company devoted to regional revitalization. Through deep engagement with local communities, we identified significant inefficiencies and challenges in the process of applying for public subsidies. This realization led to the launch of our flagship business, “Subsidy Cloud.”
However, Stayway is not merely a software development vendor or a consulting firm specializing in subsidy support. We are a team committed to empowering SMEs and local economies through technology.
Our mission is to leverage technology to improve efficiency and ensure that every SME in Japan has equal access to opportunity. We believe that technology can serve as a catalyst for unlocking the true potential of every business and every region.
Achieving this goal requires close collaboration with government agencies, local authorities, financial institutions, and large corporations. We are still at the beginning of this journey, but we remain determined to keep moving forward.
Our work—addressing the real challenges faced by SMEs nationwide—goes beyond regional revitalization. It is about supporting the companies that sustain our communities and helping them grow stronger for the future.
I sincerely hope we can walk this path together with partners who share our vision.

OURMISSION
The universally
aspired-to ideal

Unlocking the Potential
of Small Businesses
and Local Communities

We aim to create a society where every individual, small
business, and community can fully realize their potential —
a society where opportunities are accessible to all.

To achieve this, we are committed to eliminating the
inefficiencies and outdated systems that still exist
throughout society.

One of the greatest challenges lies in the realm of finance —
particularly in the complex and analog processes
surrounding public subsidies and grants.
Our mission began with simplifying these processes through
technology, making them transparent, efficient, and
accessible for everyone.

But our ambition goes beyond subsidies.
We are building a comprehensive platform that empowers
and supports small businesses and local communities in a
broader sense — fostering growth, innovation, and connection.

Whether it’s a long-standing regional enterprise or a newly
founded startup, we envision a future where every small
business can shine by leveraging its strengths, and where
new value and innovation continuously emerge from every corner of Japan.

Stayway will continue to create products that support and
empower small businesses and local communities, helping
unlock their potential and shape a more vibrant, inclusive economy.

OURVISION
Medium- to Long-Term
Management Guidelines

To Become the Data
Platform for All Small and
Medium-Sized Enterprises

Leveraging the vast data accumulated through our Subsidy
Cloud service, we aim to instantly visualize the challenges
faced by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

By transforming this insight into actionable solutions, we are
building a comprehensive data platform that empowers
SMEs to manage and overcome their business challenges —
a foundation for smarter, faster, and more sustainable growth.

Our long-term vision is to become the essential
infrastructure for SME management in Japan and beyond,
enabling every business to make better decisions through
data-driven support services.
